Dear Readers,
We are pleased to introduce our Young Ecologists group, which is enthusiastically involved in environmental circles at our school. Our mission is to promote and implement sustainable and environmentally friendly practices with an emphasis on recycling and environmental protection.
As part of our activities, we are heavily involved in recycling plastics and collecting paper at school. We organise systematic collection events where we not only collect waste, but also weigh it and store it properly.
In addition, we have developed an initiative to create an online magazine“The Econews” where we share our activities, actions and insights on environmental issues. In this way, we aim to inspire not only our school community, but also the wider public to live a more sustainable lifestyle.
Our commitment doesn’t just stop at recycling and collecting paper. As part of our artwork this year, we have started drawing birdhouses that we plan to place in our school grounds, not only to promote biodiversity but also to stimulate the creativity of our students. In addition, we collected lavender, then during this period we created scented sachets, made soaps and created leaf leporellos. In the warmer months we also spend time in the school arboretum and around the school. We are also planning other events such as: ,,Trip with a biologist”.
We engage in online environmental challenges and competitions to deepen our knowledge of environmental protection and our ability to contribute to a sustainable future.
You can also follow our posts on the school’s Facebook page.
Yours sincerely, Young Ecologists
