Water in our hands: peer education for a sustainable future

Every year on 22 March, we remember the importance of water for life on Earth and that we must value it and not waste it. Today’s peer education on Water Day was a fascinating experience for the Year 5 pupils as they visited the first graders and shared their prepared activities with them. The presentation focused on many questions about water. The pupils demonstrated their cleverness and active participation, showing a keen interest and ability to answer the questions. Fifth graders also had prepared experiments-lava lamp, ribbon painting. We also looked under the microscope at a drop of water. Observation opens up a whole new world of microscopic creatures and structures that bring this seemingly simple liquid to life.” At the end, we surprised the pupils with a gift – a memory game. Despite any obstacles, the experience inspired them to continue to learn and grow. We look forward to future activities. (:
