On Friday 27. September 2024 took place for the 18th time.
European Researchers’ Night, which took place simultaneously in several cities in Slovakia, including Bratislava, Košice, Banská Bystrica, Žilina and Poprad.
Visitors had the opportunity to discover the fascinating world of science through interactive experiments, lectures and workshops that brought the latest scientific findings to the general public.
The main theme of this year’s event was complexity, focusing on the exploration of interconnected systems where small changes can have large and unpredictable effects.
In Bratislava, in the Old Market Hall and the V-Club, events dedicated to different scientific fields such as biology, physics, chemistry, computer science or medicine were held, and visitors had the opportunity to learn about scientific trends in these areas.
The programme was designed to attract not only adults but also children and young students, thus encouraging their interest in science and research.
Workshops and presentations were held at each venue, allowing participants to try out different scientific experiments or technologies, such as programming, robotics and 3D printing.
Researchers’ Night showed once again that science is a fascinating tool to unravel the complexities of the world and is crucial for the future of our society.
