Reading comprehension in the library

Our eighth graders tested their reading comprehension skills at the Regional Library in Žilina on Wednesday. They discovered that there are multiple strategies and methods, and that a lot also depends on the environment and the type of reader. The pupils worked with concept maps, dictionaries and in the discussion they came to the conclusion that reading literacy is an essential part of developing communication skills, where the basis is the correct orientation and understanding of the text so that the subsequent interpretation truthfully describes the read story.
