Medieval charter

In general, project-based learning is very popular with pupils and even the older ones are interested. It does not limit the teacher and pupils in creativity and ways of implementing the lesson. Our seventh graders were transported by time machine to the medieval period and had to try their hand at making a medieval charter with a seal. And here are a few recipes (and scents) for making one from our pupils.

  • Prepare a drawing, brew strong coffee or tea, pour over the drawing and leave to dry, or use a hair dryer.
  • Prepare the drawing, place on a baking sheet and bake in the oven for about 20 minutes. Allow the edges of the sheet to char.
  • Prepare a drawing, brew a cinnamon concoction, soak the drawing and let it dry. Many a monarch would be delighted to receive such a beautifully scented deed.
  • Prepare a drawing and ashes from the fireplace and use your finger to apply the ashes to the drawing. Use a lighter to let the edges burn.
  • Prepare a drawing, borrow some brown nail polish from your mom and apply brown spots on the drawing.
  • Use red wax paper for the seal, let it melt and press the coin into it

You can see the imagination and creativity here. Judge for yourself.
