In our physics class – the Coriolis effect

Do you know what the Coriolis effect is? Our sixth graders tried it for themselves. The carousel was a rotating environment (e.g., the Earth); a ball thrown in a straight line was an object in that environment (e.g., the wind flowing from the north in a straight line, but curved with respect to the Earth). This is also how we learn to understand physical phenomena that we somehow take for granted. 🌎💨
