From Sam to Stephen

On Friday, VIA HISTORICA, a theatre and fencing group, visited our school with their educational theatre performance From Sam to Stephen – A Journey through Slavic History. Žakov 5.- 9. took a trip through history to the period of the Avar invasions, the Frankish merchant Sam, the Great Moravian period and the reigns of Rastislav, Svätopliuk and Stephen the Great. Pupils learned historical facts from this period in an experiential way, through humorous sketches and their interactive involvement in the theatre programme.
