Today we took part in the Ecotofilm event with the pupils of the 7th grade. The programme was full of film demonstrations and discussions. We started with a screening of animated films on the theme of water, where we were interested in the story of Ada, a little girl who lives in an area where the water has completely disappeared, even from the lake. The film was a powerful message about the importance of protecting water resources.
The festival then continued with a discussion on biodiversity, where we learned more about our birds of prey. We talked about the fox and its usefulness in nature and about wolves as “doctors of the forest”. It also included showing videos from the photo traps, which brought us closer to the life of these animals.
The programme concluded with a demonstration of the use of artificial intelligence in ecology. We tried to recognize the images, whether they are real or created by artificial intelligence. It was a fascinating demonstration of how modern technology can help in nature conservation.
